Terms and Conditions
Welcome to Pilates with Camilla. The following terms and conditions apply to all classes and sessions:
- Medical Disclaimer
- Consult a Healthcare Professional: Before starting any new exercise program, consult with your doctor or healthcare provider to ensure it’s suitable for your current health condition.
- Listen to Your Body: Avoid overexertion and work at your own pace. Stop immediately if you experience pain or discomfort. Seek medical attention if you notice any sudden changes in your physical condition.
- Inform Your Instructor: Disclose any pre-existing injuries or medical conditions that might affect your ability to perform exercises.
- Participant Safety and Risk Acceptance
- Personal Responsibility: Participating in Pilates classes is at your own risk.
- Risk Acknowledgement: You acknowledge that exercise carries inherent risks and use our facilities at your own risk.
- Medical Disclosure: Inform your instructor of any health risks, including injuries, illnesses, muscle discomfort, or pregnancy, before starting.
- Medical Disclaimer: Pilates instructors are not medically trained and cannot assess your physical suitability for exercise. Seek medical advice if you have any doubts.
- Tactile Cueing: Instructors may use physical contact for correction purposes.
- Limitation of Liability
- Liability Exclusion: The studio is not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage arising from your participation in classes, including theft or unauthorized access.
- No Medical Advice: Instructors are not qualified to provide medical advice or assessments.
- Tactile Cueing: The studio is not liable for any injuries resulting from instructor adjustments or tactile cueing.
- Studio Policies
- Refusal of Entry: The studio reserves the right to refuse entry or eject clients exhibiting inappropriate behaviour, including intoxication, aggression, or threats to the safety of others.
- Timeliness: Arrive at least 5 minutes before the class start time to avoid missing out.
- Early Departure: Avoid leaving classes early as it can disrupt others.
- Smoking Prohibition: Smoking is strictly prohibited inside and outside the studio.
- Respectful Conduct: Treat all persons and property with care and respect.
- Appropriate Attire: Wear suitable clothing for physical exercise and avoid offensive or potentially dangerous attire.
- Hygiene: Wear socks at all times during your workout. Grip socks are recommended.
- Equipment: Please wipe down and put away equipment after use.
- Bookings
- Class Schedule: Class schedules may be subject to changes, including cancellations, day/time adjustments, and class removal, especially during school holidays.
- Bookings: All classes require advance booking through our online system or by contacting staff. Walk-ins are not accepted.
- Closed Days: We are closed on Sundays and Queensland Public Holidays.
- Cancellation Policy
- Minimum Notice: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the class starts to avoid losing your session.
- The studio may cancel a class for any reason, and you will be credited for the session.
- Classes requiring a minimum number of participants (e.g., 3) may be cancelled up to 2 hours before the start time. The studio will contact you for a refund or reschedule.
- Purchases and Bookings
- All purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Introductory offers are valid for one-time use by new clients.
- Payment is due before booking. Pre-purchased sessions or payment via the app/website is required.
- No waitlists are available at the moment.
- Sessions are non-transferable. Substitutions are not permitted.
- Class packs activate upon purchase date.
- The studio reserves the right to change or substitute instructors without prior notice.
- Pregnancy
- The studio classes cater to pregnant women. However, it’s essential to prioritise your health and safety during pregnancy.
- Medical Clearance: Before participating in any Pilates class while pregnant, you must obtain written medical clearance from your healthcare provider. This clearance should confirm that it’s safe for you to exercise and participate in Pilates classes.
- Regular Check-ins: It’s recommended to seek medical clearance at the beginning of each trimester to ensure that your exercise regimen remains appropriate throughout your pregnancy.
- By signing these terms and conditions, you agree to ensure you have obtained the necessary medical clearance and will follow your healthcare provider’s advice regarding exercise during pregnancy.
- Please note that while our classes are designed to accommodate pregnant women, the suitability of specific exercises may vary based on individual circumstances. Always listen to your body and consult with your healthcare provider if you experience any discomfort or concerns.
- Photography and Social Media
- Pilates with Camilla may take photographs or videos during classes for promotional purposes, including website and social media content.
- By signing these terms and conditions, you grant Pilates with Camilla the non-exclusive right to use your image in photographs or videos taken during class.
- Opt-Out: If you do not wish to have your image shared, please notify us in writing by email to pilateswithcamilla@gmail.com. We will respect your privacy and will not use your image in any marketing materials.
- Please note: We will make every effort to avoid capturing identifiable images of participants who choose not to opt-in. However, due to the nature of group classes, it may not always be possible to completely guarantee this.
- We encourage a positive and supportive environment at Pilates with Camilla. Please be respectful of other participants who may choose to have their image shared.
- Additional Studio Policies
- Class Size: We limit group classes to a maximum of 6 participants for optimal instruction.
- Class Duration: Group classes typically last 1 hour.
- Late Arrival: Instructors may refuse entry to clients arriving more than 5 minutes late.
- Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old to participate in group classes on your own. Children over the age of 10 are welcome to participate with their parent(s) in attendance. These terms and conditions apply to anyone over the age of 10 participating in classes at the studio.
By participating in Pilates with Camilla classes, you acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions.
